Losing the Browns (Book)

Friends and Readers –

After much thought and discussion, I have decided I am going to write my first actual book.  As a once heart-broken child, I fumed about Cleveland losing the Browns for many years. Only as an adult have I been able to put my cognitive dissonance aside, and use reason and logic to examine the past rather than hatred and bitterness that I was taught and learned.

I have spent a lot of time researching the Browns’ departure, and as a lifelong Browns fan, I plan to express some theories about why the Browns left that might defy the talking points we have all memorized and internalized. Maybe there were reasons…. Let’s be honest, of course there were reasons…. But what were they? Why did things happen the way they did?

I plan to answer these and other questions in my book. If you have any suggestions, thoughts, tips, or questions, please let me know at BrownsBook (at) bomble (dot) com.

My goal is to release this book as a single on Amazon’s Kindle store this year, and have a limited edition print that I will give to those willing to help chip in for the book’s research costs. If you like the idea, throw in a few bucks if you can.

I am submitting this to KickStarter to raise some funds to cover research costs, and will post that here if the project is accepted.

The “Rewards” are:

  • People who donate $1-5 will have their name featured in a thank you section (appendix).
  • People who donate $5-20 will get a limited edition print copy of the book, and will have their name featured in a thank you section (appendix).
  • People who donate $20-50 will get a signed, limited edition print copy of the book, will have their name featured in a thank you section (appendix).
  • People who donate $50 plus will get a signed, limited edition print copy, a thank you in the forward and appendix thank you section.
