Winterstone Golf Course in Independence, Missouri

I love golf. I have been playing since I was about in the fourth grade, though I cannot really remember. I caddied at Shaker Heights Country Club and grew up playing Highland Park and Shawnee Hills, which is probably my favorite course of all time.

Now living in Northern Virginia, my favorite regional courses are Pohick Bay and Greendale, where I am the Sunday afternoon starter. My blog will provide updates of courses I have played and their reviews as well as courses I would like to play.

I am a board member of the Congressional Staff Golf Association, a member of the USGA and a supporter of the Virginia State Golf Association. I play PING with an old Callaway WARBIRD driver, a Titelist Vokey LW, an Adams 3 wood, an Adams a3 #2 hybrid, a Callaway Heavenwood 4, and an Orlimar TriMetal 3. I have PING PAL 4, ODYSSEY DFX, PING ALLY 2, and old KROYDON blade , as my putters. My first full set was Tommy Armour 845 Silverscots, and I keep those as a second set for friends to use. I’ll never sell them. they are great. I typically play Maxfli, Slazenger, or Titleist balls, but also like the Noodle and the Top-Flite. When I am in practice, I can shoot in the high 80′s, but tend to be under 100.

I’d really like to play golf with: retired pro Bob Murphy, Arnold Palmer, John Daly, John Boehner, Phil Mickelson, Hale Irwin, and George W. Bush.
