Thank you for your service, Michael Monsoor.

By Jim | April 8, 2008

“Mikey looked death in the face that day and said, ‘You cannot take my brothers. I will go in their stead.’”

Some of my co-workers and I were watching the President’s presentation (posthumously) of the Medal of Honor to the family of Michael Monsoor. I didn’t catch the whole speech (obviously as I was working), but I did unmute my television as I could tell that the President was getting choked up.

Thanks to redlasso, I was able to get the video of today’s speech to share with you.

Thank you to all of our men and women in uniform who have served our country; whether they agree or disagree with the decision(s) to go to Iraq and Afghanistan — they are all heroes.
